Intel announced its 3 series motherboards today, excitedly telling everybody what everybody already knew, but putting a Warhol type graphic on it and spinning it as ‘The Art of the Chipset’. While the presentation was drier than Hasselhoff after Baywatch was cancelled, at least the surrounds were nice.

Official presentations were nearly non existent today – which gave us a good opportunity to poke around.

Lian Li is high on the list for any self respecting geek, and so we dropped in to see what they were up to.

The PC-A60C is an anniversary edition of the PC60 – it’s now been on the market in one form or another for ten years. Everything that looks like copper is copper. It’s very limited edition and probably won’t make it to Australia.

Nearby Sunon was displaying everything in fan goodness, but what caught our eye was the ridiculously tiny series of fans available for mobile devices, the smallest being 8x8mm.

Albatron had a sound amplifier that took input through a 3.5mm jack at the back, or as we understood it motherboard sound somehow through USB.
